Roetzel Summer Associate Program
Roetzel's Summer Associate and Associate Programs are administered with a strategic eye toward creating the professional and personal growth opportunities necessary for becoming a successful attorney. We understand the importance of thoroughly preparing you for your legal careers. Roetzel mainly hires second-year law students for its Summer Associate Program for the time period of May to August. Roetzel may consider first-year law students on a selected basis. We select law students who possess high academic achievement, a strong work ethic, effective problem-solving skills and Roetzel cultural traits necessary to become a productive, valued associate at Roetzel.
To be considered for this program, please submit your application by attaching a cover letter, resume, law school transcripts, and at least one writing sample. We anticipate openings in Ohio for Cleveland, Akron, and Columbus. In Florida, Fort Myers and Naples, and in Chicago. Please designate which office location(s) are of interest to you in your cover letter. The starting salary for this position is $110,000, prorated for the number of weeks worked.
The firm will accept direct applications for the 2027 Summer Associate Program on a rolling basis beginning on January 15, 2026, and the application portal will remain open until all positions are filled.
